I noticed that more and more people are hiring contractors at a very low hourly rate. The more demanding ones especially. How do you guys feel about sending 1 million emails A DAY for a measly $100? Sounds fun? Well, I'm not one to encourage cheap labor. Anyone out there feel like working for peanuts, just have a look at the job posts today. So depressing.
Just my two cents, if you have the degree, the skills and the experience, why bid at such a low rate? If you are a newbie and your reason is so that you get hired right away, that is pretty understandable but if you've been working online for months and already have a work history, don't you think it's time you increase your hourly rate? You SHOULD! Try and stick to your rate and see what happens. Chances are, some company will find your profile and hire you at your new rate. Stop working for a few measly cents an hour. That is so NOT right!
